How to get to Shiant View Cottage
From Stornoway Airport or the Stornoway ferry terminal, take the A859 (Tarbert Road – South) towards the village of Balallan.
If travelling from the ferry terminal in Tarbert or Leverburgh in Harris then follow the A859 (Stornoway Road – North) and head also for Balallan (Baile Ailein).
On reaching Balallan, branch off and follow the B8060 towards the villages of Tabost, Cearsiadair, Gearraigh Bhaird, Grabhair and finally Orasaigh for a total of 15 miles from Balallan.
When you arrive in Orasaigh follow on through the village and you will find the cottage on your right hand side. Shiant View is clearly sign posted and leads you up a short tarred driveway. Adequate parking is provided for 2 cars outside the property.
